课题:Describing a person.———写作课训练

(选自2014年《说明与检测》中招模拟试题九)

湖南卫视亲子节目《爸爸去哪儿?》热播以来,其中人物(林志颖,田亮,郭涛,王岳伦,张亮以及他们的孩子Kimi, Cindy, 石头,Angela, 天天)迅速成为人们茶余饭后的谈资。请以“_______(人名) on Where Are We Going, Daddy?”为题写一篇英语短文,简要介绍节目中你最喜欢的一个角色。

要求:1. 介绍该人物的外貌,性格;

2. 他(她) 给你留下的深刻印象;

3. 语言流畅,语法正确;

4. 80字左右。

学习目标:

1. 经过本节课练习,学生能理清写人作文的基本框架结构。

2. 通过借鉴范文,学生会用“审-列-连-加-美”五步法完成本节课的写作任务。

3. 学生会正确评价自己的作文。

学习过程:

写作技巧点拨:

1. 写人作文的基本框架:观点+描述+看法

观点:一般在文章的开头就要提出自己的观点。

描述:分人和事两个方面:

人:外貌,年龄,性格,爱好等。注意:要突出其鲜明特征,并抓住其与众不同之处。

事:过程,事件,结果。注意:事情要分清主次,前后照应,选例要典型。

看法:可以夹叙夹议,也可在结尾处对人物进行评价,抒发自己对人物的情感。

2. 写好一篇英语作文可以从以下五步着手:审-列-连-加-美

一、审清题意;定好时态和人称

二、列出提纲;

可以借鉴范文,选择合适的句型和结构连词成句:

范文: My son

My son is a 4-year-old boy whose name is Ben. He doesn’t look as white as most of the kids. In fact, his skin is kind of dark. So some people call him “the Healthy Boy”. He looks thin but he is athletic and energetic. Every time I see him, he is either running here and there for fun or playing with his little partners. I think he won’t be quiet until he falls asleep.

What’s more, he is naughty but lovely. He enjoys helping me while I’m doing chores. With his help, I always have more chores to do. This makes me mad. But when I get annoyed with him, I can’t help smiling with his serious face.

This is my son. He brings me lots of joy. I love him very much and wish him to have a healthy and happy life forever.

四、加-减-合-替, 美化文章;

加:在文中加一些短语,使作文上下连贯。

教师提示:

表示并列或递进的过渡词: and, as well as, both…and, not only…but also, neither…nor; either…or;

表示转折的过渡词: but, however, although, though, after all(毕竟),

表示补充的过渡词:in addition(此外),What’s more! on the other hand, not only…but also, more importantly, furthermore(此外,而且), besides,

表示强调的过渡词: also, besides, what’s more, actually, in fact,

表示对比的过渡词: instead, not…but, on the one hand…on the other hand; 减:将重复的,可有可无的部分去掉。

合:用一些常见的表示顺序和逻辑关系的连词将一些短句合并,为你的作文添彩。 提示:条件 if/ unless 结果 so… that目的 so that让步 although, though比较 than , as…as 时间 when ,转折however, yet, but,原因 thanks to, because of, because

替:将一些你把握不大的单词用其他相关的词代替,不敢肯定的句子可以用简单的句子替换。多使用不同的句式表达。

五、将作文写到下面的横线上,注意卷面整洁。(限时15分钟)

五、检查修改,内容无误;

1. 查主题(check the theme),文章是否符合题目要求,内容是否完整。

2. 查语法(check the grammar),是否有时态错误,冠词是否用错,名词单复数是否有误,是否有主谓不一致,是否有语态问题,是否有词形错误,是否有不合乎搭配的词组。

3. 查拼写(check the spelling),是否有拼写错误和大小写问题

4. 查表达(check the ways of expression) ,是否有不合乎英语惯用的表达,是否有中国式英语表达。

附:中招作文评分标准

中招英语作文评分标准:书面表达,15分。考生应根据题目要求,采用适当的时态、语态、句式和词语,完整、准确地表达所要求的内容。分四档评分: 第一档:符合题目要求,内容完整,层次结构清晰,表达清楚,语言无误。13-15分。

第二档:基本符合题目要求,内容较完整,层次结构较清晰,表达较清楚,语言有少量错误。9—12分。

第三档:部分内容符合题目要求,内容不够完整,层次结构不够清晰,表达不够清楚,语言有较多错误。4-8分。

第四档:不符合题目要求,整篇表达不清楚,或照抄、拼凑几个词语。0-3分。

建议记诵的话题词汇和短语:

1. 关系:father, parents , grandfather ,uncle ,aunt ,schoolmate, monitor,cousin 等

2. 职业: teacher, doctor, nurse, dentist, cook, artist, scientist, actor, actress, model, race driver, soldier, manager, businessman, journalist, announcer, director等

3. 外貌性格:pretty , good-looking, short , tall, lovely, generous, naughty, smart , wise, lazy, humorous, attractive, funny, outgoing, serious, quiet, warm-hearted, patient, strong-minded, hard-working等(介绍外貌时候可用上定语从句,开篇就亮点)

4. 年龄: a twenty-year-old man, as a boy of 15, at the age of 10,

during his childhood, middle-aged , in his forties 等

5. 兴趣爱好: enjoy doing, like to do /doing, be fond of, be crazy about, be interested in , prefer to do/doing

6. 评价: be popular with , be respected by, be honored as, take pride in, be proud of, be famous for, be regarded as, set a good example等。

作文要学会积累

(一)语言方面要建立“语汇库”。不仅指词、短语的总汇,还包括句

子、句群。平时要广泛阅读,并做好读书笔记,把一些优美的词语、句子、语段摘录在特定的本子上。

(二)要加强材料方面的积累。方法是积累素材。要深入观察生活、积极参与生活,可以以写日记、写观察笔记等形式,及时记录家庭生

活、校园生活、社会生活中的见闻。记录时要抓住细节,把握人、事、

物、景的特征。这 样,写出的文章就有血有肉。

(三)要加强思想方面的积累。观点是文章的灵魂。方法有二:第一

要善思。平时要深入思考,遇事多问问“为什么”、“是什么”、“怎么样”。

这样就能透过现象看本质。还要随时把思维的“火花”、思索的结论记

录下来。第二要辑录,也就是要摘录名人名言,格言警句等。

总之,作文要加强积累,建立好“语汇库”、“素材库”、“思想库”这三

大写作仓库,并要定期盘点、整理、分门别类,且要不断充实、扩容。
