In some countries the average weight of people is increasing and their levels of health and fitness are decreasing.

What do you think are the causes of these problems and what measures could be taken to solve them?

In recent years,a serious problem that we need to pay more attention to is that in some countries the average weight of people is increasing while their levels of health and fitness are decreasing.

I think the causes of these problems are due to the unhealthy lifestyle and without enough exercise.

Nowadays,more and more people pursue the convenience in every aspects of their life.They wouldn ’t like to do anything after a whole day work because of the feeling of exhausted.They always have dinner in a restaurant so that they don ’t need to take time to cook the meal and do washing after meal.Sometimes they may buy some fast food when they are in a hurry.However,this kind of food are with high calories and fat,they are terrible for health.But people always neglect the adverse effect of the junk food.So I think it is an important cause that people are accustomed to having junk food for meal and have dinner in restaurants.

More importantly,I believe that another reason of these

problems is lack of exercise.People are used to eating junk food which with high calories and fat,however,they don’t have enough exercise to help them digest and metabolize the large amount of calories and fat.With calories and fat accumulating in their body,they will put on weight little by little.On the other hand,the more calories and fat accumulating in one’s body,the more possibility that the person may get some diseases, such as heart attack, hypertension, hyperglycemia and so on.As a result,the level of health and fitness go decreasing.

To solve these problems,in my opinion,it is very significant to change their lifestyle,especially balance their diet.People should eat more vegetables and fruits instead of the junk food with high calories and fat.The other thing that is very necessary is taking more exercise.It is the most perfect method to keep fit.The recommended time for exercising per day is at least 30 minutes of jogging or taking a walk.

In conclusion,with these measures, balanced diet and adequate exercise,the average weight of people will decrease and their levels of health and fitness will increase.
