Film review of the "The World Is Big and Salvation Lurks Around the Corner."

This must be the most unwieldy movie title I have ever met before: "The World Is Big and Salvation Lurks Around the Corner."This film comes from Bulgaria, a country not yet known for a dazzling cinematic output. After watching this film, I think this is a film which is sometimes sweet, sometimes sad, sometimes lovable but always optimistic. This film is very nature , verygood reproduction of the communist Bulgaria and the lives of people who tried to survive that time outside and inside Bulgaria. The emotions go through the whole film without breaks.I was not only immerse myself in those beautiful sceneries in Bulgaria and Italy, but also recall my deep thinking.

In a village in today's Bulgaria, a small group of friends meet every day to gossip and play backgammon, but one day a young man who has lost his memories and parents in a car accident is guided by his charismatic grandfather to regain his memories by travelling around Europe, retracing the path the young man and his parents once took when they had illegally migrated from Bulgaria to Germany for a new life. This is the premise of this movie.

Life is worth living, life is worth acting, that's what this film is about. Miki Manojlovic is more than charming as an energetic, "crazy" grandfather who teaches his withdrawn grandson how to appreciate life. That the hopes of a small family and their dreams of having a better life somewhere. It tells the forgotten memories, dreams and life of a young man who learns more things when he regains his memories. It tells about a grandfather with full of love for his grandson. It tells how a small game like backgammon can stir the life of people. We must believe that The biggest miracle in life is to find hope from hopelessness.

“Who am I , where am I going and which way I should use to live out of my life”. I think this is the another point the director of this movie want to tell to his audience. In recent days ,I always think about this , should I back to my hometown after graduating . Maybe for all of us, we have to find so-called hometown using all of our life. Life is compared to a game of backgammon...dice is destiny, and you decide how to move your checkers in order to win. After all ,we must believe that the hopes of a small family and their dreams of having a better life somewhere. It tells the forgotten memories, dreams and life of a young man who learns more things when he regains his memories. It tells about a grandfather with full of love for his grandson. It tells how a small game like backgammon can stir the life of people.
