Nowadays, the problem of fake commodities turns out to be a great threat to the society and

3 the fake commodities virtually include everything from small daily commodities to large machines even medicines.

The main reason for this phenomenon is that people who produce fake commodities want to get money without considering the benefits of society or of the others.

Fake commodities can do great harm to both consumers and society. Take fake medicines for example, they can not cure people’s disease, on the contrary, they bring greater damage to people’s health, sometimes even cause the patient to die. Don’t Hesitate To Say No

There are many occasions for us to say “no”, when others ask us for help. For instance, when we have no ability to do what we are asked to, we can directly say “no”. Even sometimes when we are requested to do the wrong, even illegal things, we can boldly say “no”.

However, some people do not say “no” when they should say “no”. The reasons I think are as following: sometimes these people are afraid of losing face, of losing friends and also sometimes, they do not say “no” because they want to get some benefits from helping others.

Actually, as a result, there are many bad effects when they do not say “no” when they should say “no”. They may save the face, but in the end, they often make the person they have helped and themselves in an awkward situation. And consequently, they lose the friends and lose their own honesty. Therefore, when we should say “no” ,we should not hesitate to say “no”.

从试题所给的提纲要求,我们可以看出给出的这三点可以作为三段的主题句,然后再围绕这三个主题展开,分别阐述读书要有选择和要博览群书的理由,比如说,生活节奏快,工作繁忙,而一个人的精力有限,或者说目前的书良莠不齐等等,所以读书要有选择;而另一些人认为,社会对人才的需求在发生变化,从以前的又红又专转变到对全能性人才的需求,此外,一个人的健康发展也与知识的全面密不可分,所以要博览群书。最后一部分首先说明自己支持那一种观点,再陈述出理由。这一段可以结合自己的实际情况写出理由。例如:目前对自己来说,读书要有选择,因为学习任务重,课程安排紧,这几年必须在专业课上有所突破;或者要博览群书,理由是自己所学的专业是跨学科的,要想让自己学好这个专业,并在将来有所建树,必须博览群书。

As to reading, some people think one should read selectively. In the fast developing society, information is adequate and easily available, but people are extremely busy. Furthermore, the talents required in the society should be specialized. So they support the idea of reading selectively.

However, some people insist on the idea of reading extensively. The development of society requires people to have over-all knowledge. For example, a person whose major is Art must have the knowledge of Science, and vice-verse is the same. Therefore, in their opinion, people in modern society should read extensively to meet the need of the society.

As for me, I take the side of the second idea—people should read extensively. When people read extensively, their horizon will be widened and they can adapt themselves to the society much better not only in the aspect of their work, but also in the aspect of personal relations.

At present, tuitions and fees for college are high and trouble many students. In fact, there are many ways to solve this problem. Firstly, students can depend completely on their parents. 文章开头用at present(目前)这个时间短语引出思考这一问题的原因,即tuitions and fees for college are high(上大学的费用高),接着用in fact(事实上)引出下文有多种途径可以解决。对于这些途径,用了firstly , secondly , and another way进行了列举说明。第二部分用in my opinion(以我之见)来起下文,说出我的观点。第一句中有了chiefly (主要地)这个副词,在第二句中就有余地补充另外一点。第一句的介词through 后接了两个动名词短语(taking part-time jobs and applying for a loan)。第三句这样做的理由用in doing so来引出。用as a result又引出这样做的结果是减轻了父母的压力,锻炼了自己。最后一句用therefore 开头,对全文做了总结。

此文章要求我们表明观点阐述理由,第一个观点是有必要举行口语考试,我们可以列举出许多理由,如从语言本身的特点出发去分析,语言是为人类的交流而产生的,所以应加强说的能力,对大学生增加口语考试便是势在必行的,再者我们学生的英语口语表达能力本来就比较薄弱,因此有了口语考试来督促,在一定程度上可以改善这一局面。第二个观点是另一些人对口语考试则持相反的观点,他们会认为我们中国学生没机会讲英语,获取知识主要依靠阅读进行,所以没有必要进行口语考试。我的观点可以支持第一种,理由是会讲流利的英语是新时代对大学生的基本要求,特别在入世以后。为了满足社会对人才的需求,口语考试是必须的。也可以提出新的观点,口语考试采取自愿的原则,这样有利于学生积极主动性的发挥,因为有些学生从根本上讲不适合也不擅长外语的学习,如果逼着他们参加考试,反而会影响了他们专业课的学习,结果适得其反。

Dear President,

As a sophomore and a member of our school, I am writing to you in the hope of reporting both some improvements and shortcomings of our cafeteria.

After the year-long renovation of our cafeteria, it is, I should say, a spacious, comfortable, brand-new place to have dinner. With dishes more varied, service faster, we really feel like sitting in our own home. I especially appreciate some new services offered, such as the extra meal supplied after 9p.m.and the self-service part in the cafeteria.
