On College Education Transformation

如今部分学校注重培养复合型人才、创新性人才,改变了以往只培养专一型人才的模式。对这个改变,有人支持,有人反对,谈谈你的看法。

In recent days, some colleges and universities are altering their education model from cultivation of special talent to interdisciplinary and innovative talent. This education transformation has attracted great public concern and sparked a hot discussion in the society.

Some people hold positive view about this phenomenon. For one thing ,it well meets the requirement of the era,as masters of integrated skills are increasingly needed in all walks of life. For another, the employment prospects and career development of multi-specialists are better than of that of the monotonous specialists. However, others express their opposition to the transformation. On the one hand ,it is worried that talent might become ”Jack of all trades but master of none ”,who is competent with many skills but not necessarily outstanding in any particular one . On the other hand, it might be unfavorable for the professional classification.

Personally speaking ,I ’m in favor of the former ,because I firmly believe that only all-rounders would have the overwhelming competitiveness in the employment marked and vocational development.

On Knock-off Products

近几年,市场上出现了大量的山寨产品,山寨产品的盛行可能引发的问题,以及如何改变这种状况,就这些谈谈你个人的观点。

Nowadays, there emerge a great number of knock-off products in the market. They are made nearly the same as famous brand products with a much lower price and mostly in poor qualities .There products are popular among people ,especially those who love but can’t afford the authentic ones.

However ,the popularity of knock-off products may bring about a series of problems. In the first place ,making knock-off products is a blatant violation of intellectual property rights ,which sours the normal market and hinders overseas companies from investing in Chinese market .Secondly, the knock-off eat into the profits of honest products of authentic goods. What ’s worse ,since the quality of knock-off goods cannot be guaranteed, consumer ’s interest and safety may be at risk.

In summary ,some rules must be implemented to regulate the operation of market and prohibit the knock-offs. What ’s more ,consumers should be educated to realize the knock-offs ’ negative influence on both individuals and society. If we want to smoothly advance the economic development ,we must clear the barrier of knock-offs and make every made-in-China item trustworthy

Libraries Open to Beggars and Junkmen

目前有些图书馆对乞丐和拾荒者开放,人们对此有不同的看法,对此谈谈你的观点。

In recent days , what arouses the public attention is that some libraries are open to beggars and junkmen .Hangzhou Library, for instance ,provides beggars and junkmen chances to read there as long as they clean their hands before reading.

However ,people ’s attitudes towards this phenomenon diverge from one another .For the supporters ,permitting the so-called underprivileged people reading in libraries embodies the principle of equity .Besides, it is believed that it could help those people by offering them opportunities to acquire knowledge to start a new life.

In contrast to the above ,the opponents express their concern by worrying about the other readers’ safety and comfort as the beggars and junkmen usually wear dirty and smelly clothes which might be unhealthy or intolerable for other readers.Additionally ,they doubt that those people walk into the libraries just in search of a quiet and comfortable place to take a nap.

Personally speaking, I’m in favor of the former ,as I am firmly convinced that admission of beggars and junkmen to the libraries individuals ’ human rights in the harmonious society.
